Member Support is Essential for Our Success!

Our 2019 Wildflower Festival will take place July 5-14, so mark your calendars! We hope you will be able to take part in one or more of our many exciting events and experience firsthand the pride we take in both our Festival and our mission: advocating for wildflowers and their preservation.

We’ve set some lofty goals for 2019 and need your help! In addition to hosting the Festival we hope to spearhead several new projects that will help us serve our mission and our community. Here’s what we’re working on:

  • Partnering with the US Forest Service to help fund the installation of toilet facilities at the West Maroon and East River/Brush Creek trailheads, decreasing human impact in our pristine wildflower environment
  • Creating children’s programing that will run Monday – Friday during the 2019 Festival, teaching a new generation of wildflower enthusiasts the value of our incredible wildflowers and expanding our offerings for families
  • Developing a far-reaching wildflower preservation campaign, communicating the importance of leaving the wildflowers undisturbed on their stems

Additionally, plans are underway to host FREE speaking events during our 2019 Festival. You’ll be able to learn about alpine wildflowers and their super powers, explore the intricate connection between native bees and our natural habitats, and discover the many ways you can assist with our wildflower preservation campaign.

We won’t accomplish these goals without the generous contributions of members just like you! Member support is essential to our success. Revenue from our events accounts for only 70% of our annual operations. The remainder is provided by support from our members, sponsors, and community donors. We wouldn’t exist without YOU – the reason we’ve been able to hold this Festival every summer for the past 32 years.
